Harmony in my eyes
During Autumn the leaves changing to such brilliant colors and floating softly to the ground is such sweet harmony to me. The air has such a smell of harmony with the season, as as you probably noticed the sounds become sharper in the thinner air of Fall. I can hear the deer rustle through the woods, the songs of the cold weather birds and the rhythm of the seashore with the tide changes of the closer moon. Harmony is peaceful, it reaches deep into our souls, and calms all our storms. I know that God's gift of the Holy Spirit is such sweet harmony. I have been blessed in my 26 years of being a christian to be the sound tech for the youth worship bands that Paul and I have encouraged on a path to edify the saints, to please the Father, and to usher in the Holy Spirit. I have seen teens and adults alike saved (delivered) healed, restored, strengthened and fired up! Paul and our teen daughter have the gift of singing. It is sweetness to my heart. Our sons played instruments also. My thought however is how many times there was such stress in our efforts to bring "harmony" to these situations. I have attended more Christian concerts in my life then most adults will ever hear. From Fishnet and Creation Festivals to booking our own. Some of the most amazing talent and moving worship and memorable times of my life. And yet the sweet gentle angelic acapella voice of my daughter still comes short of those times in which it is just The Father, me and His awesome creation of nature that I can feel a complete harmony fill my soul. As if at the moment alone every thing is as it should be and the Holy Spirit has free reign with no encumbrances. Hence, perfect HARMONY can be seen, felt, and heard. Dwell on true harmony this season. It is not just this sound that the world says it produces. Most music will just move your emotions. God created Harmony and the gift of the Holy Spirit brings it close to our very souls. It is deep, rich, healing, comforting, all-in-all. I pray that you will encounter God's true harmony this season, to be free of the encumbrances of unrepentance and unforgiveness. (think I will journal on that next post). Until then, Walking in His Light....me.
